Allyson Stewart-Allen Allyson Stewart-Allen is a recognised international marketing and inter-cultural expert advising European and US organisations growing their presence on either side of the Atlantic. A Californian based in Europe for over 20 years, Allyson applies her fluency in French and German and several years' consulting experience to the company she founded, International Marketing Partners, through her employment with blue-chip consulting firms Price Waterhouse, PA Consulting Group and Hay Management Consultants.

She is co-author of best-selling book Working with Americans (© 2002 Prentice Hall), the first-ever business manual exclusively about the US business culture, which helps professionals improve their relationships with and profits from American business partners, bosses and colleagues. The book has received a great response from CNN, Sky, Financial Times, several BBC television and radio programmes and the Hay-on-Wye literary festival. Notably, Working with Americans was the first 'business' book to feature at the festival. Allyson is also a contributing author in the latest edition of The FT Handbook of Management (Crainer, Dearlove © Pearson Education 2004) Win New Business (Croft, © Thorogood 2002), as well as authoring Marketing in the USA (© UK Trade & Investment 2000) for the British Government's Department of Trade & Industry.

Allyson advises executives and boards of directors in the professional services (legal, property, financial and retail), food & drink, travel, consumer goods and industrial sectors to name a few. Her work with clients enables them to lead and manage across cultures, achieve their marketing and business development strategies through successful strategic alliances/joint ventures, organic growth and/or acquisitions.

In addition to Allyson's recent 4-year slot on Sky News Business Report programme as the "Muse of Marketing," she appears as a regular and frequent marketing expert on CNN's World Business and Business International programmes. Recent keynote conference appearances include Economist Conferences, American Chamber of Commerce Denmark, Institute of Directors Conferences, The Law Society, The British Luxury Council, British American Chamber of Commerce, Inspired Leaders Network, Marketing Society and American Marketing Association on a variety of global marketing trends and developments.

As well as being listed in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America and Who's Who Among Women, Allyson has a regular column in Market Leader magazine and is an expert interviewed frequently in The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Business Week, Newsweek and Fortune magazines.

Allyson is a member of the European faculty of Duke Corporate Education/LSE, Forum Corporation, Institute of Directors and Management Centre Europe. She is also a Fellow of the Marketing Society, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Fellow of the British American Project, an active member of the American Marketing Association, Institute of Directors and serving on the Advisory Board of the British Luxury Council. She has also been appointed to the Advisory Board of New York-based Business for Diplomatic Action, the lobbying group working to improve the image of the US internationally.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from the Marshall School at the University of Southern California, as well as an MBA from Claremont Graduate University under the direct tutelage of Dr. Peter Drucker. Allyson has been based in London since 1988 and is a US citizen from Los Angeles, California.

 
  Business for Diplomatic Action has Allyson Stewart-Allen as a member of its advisory board. This New York-based group of high-profile executives has as its mission "to sensitize American companies and individuals to the rise of anti-Americanism in the world and to enlist the U.S. business community in specific actions aimed at addressing the issue and reducing the problem.
